• COMMISSSIONERATE POLICE ARRESTS 11 FOR VIOLATING CURFEW ORDERS

The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has arrested 11 persons for violating the orders of Curfew imposed by the district administration to prevent the spread of Corona Virus.
Divulging the details, the Commissioner of Police Jalandhar Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the cases under section 188 and 269 of Indian Penal Code have been registered against Ravi Kumar s/o Chunni Lal, Dalip Kumar s/o Rakesh Kumar, Rajinder Kumar s/oRam Lal, Satpal s/o Nand Lal, Vinod Shah s/o Bindu Shah, Ganesh Kumar s/o Ajit Pal, Vinod Kumar s/o Rameshwar Prasad,Ashok Kumar Shah s/o Satya Narayan, Manish Kumar so Shankar Chauhan and Lal Dev Verma s/o Raghu Nandan and Ashwani Kumar s/o Ashwani Kumar. He said that all the 11 accused have been arrested by the Police and further action has been initiated against them. Mr. Bhullar said that the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police was committed to enforce the curfew in true letter and spirit.
The Commissioner of Police said that the action would continue in coming days till the curfew was not lifted. He said that strict action would be taken against the people flouting the norms during the curfew. Mr. Bhullar reiterated that the curfew has been imposed to check the spread of Corona Virus in the district and it was in the interest of all the stakeholders.
The Commissioner of Police said that a viable mechanism has been put in place for the entire security arrangements and sectoral officers from Police have been deployed. He said that every effort would be made to maintain law and order in the city. Mr. Bhullar categorically said that no one would be allowed to violate the law and stern action would be taken against violators.
